Dear Friends,

As Christmas approaches, I want to take a moment to reflect with you on the year behind us.

This season reminds us of the values at the heart of the Mediterranean Aid Education Center (MAEC): compassion, generosity, and the unwavering belief that we can bring hope to those in need.

Yet, as we celebrate, we must also remember the immense suffering caused by conflicts around the world. In Myanmar, Yemen, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Sudan, Ukraine, and countless other places, millions remain trapped in violence and despair. With over 110 active conflicts globally, the need for peace and solidarity has never been more urgent.

At MAEC, we continue to pray for peace and offer both physical and moral support to those affected by war, displacement, and hardship. Our mission is to remind them that they are not forgotten.

This Christmas, let us hold these people in our hearts and honor their strength and resilience. Together, let’s commit to bringing hope and support where it is needed most.

Wishing you and your loved ones a Christmas filled with peace and gratitude. May the coming year inspire us all to work toward a brighter, more united world.

With heartfelt thanks,
Regina Egle Liotta Catrambone
Founder and Director MAEC Mediterranean Aid Education Center
